"Smile" is an installation made of thread and fiberglass, meticulously created with 2,000 intersecting lines that together shape a smiling face. This installation is a simple representation of life's journey, where the intersecting lines symbolize our struggles, and the Arabic calligraphy represents the words we speak throughout our life journey. It is installed in the desert, signifying the notion that we come from sand and will eventually return to it - from sand to sand. This is a representation that despite life's struggles, one should always face the world with a smile and heartfelt words on their journey.
